Leonid ShchervinskyParticipantMyEclipse Configuration Center – Collaboration – Pulse Reg
———————————————————————-I made a typo in my email address while registrering for the first time on the Collaboration screen. How do I correct that?
Thanks
Leonid
Scott AndersonParticipantLeonid,
Unfortunately, you can’t correct it from within MyEclipse as the features are a focused version of what is available within the Pulse Explorer. However, when you install MyEclipse you also get the Pulse Explorer installed as well into <InstallDir>/Pulse Explorer. The easiest way to remedy this is to launch the Pulse Explorer and create a free account with your real email address. Once the explorer opens you’ll see a section called “My Profiles”. If you don’t see MyEclipse 8.5 in it, just drag MyEclipse 8.5 from the “Popular” section to the “My Profiles” section. Once you do that just click the “Install” button. Don’t worry about the downloading; since you already have all the MyEclipse bits on your machine, Pulse will see that and just quickly create a new configuration for you so you can use it. From that point on, you can just close the Pulse Explorer and launch MyEclipse as you normally would, from the shortcut created.
And, if you think you might want to use Pulse to manage all your configurations, you can find out more about it at http://www.poweredbypulse.com.
Leonid ShchervinskyParticipantHi Scott:
For some reason I am not able to locate “<InstallDir>/Pulse Explorer” directory on my machine. It is an XP computer…
Thanks
Leonid
support-joyMemberLeonid,
Can you look into this path – C:\Program Files\Genuitec\Pulse Explorer or look for the .pulse2.properties file under [USER-HOME] directory. Then look for pulse explorer folder. Typically on XP, it is located at c:\Documents and Settings\[username]\.pulse2.locator
