    Hi

Does MyEclipse 10.x supports JSR 286 Development?

Also does it provides UI enterface for Portal development like how WEF provides wizards for developing Models and profiles?

Please let me know. Thank you.

    darhieus,

Yes, MyEclipse 10.x supports JSR-286 development. I am afraid we do not provide any special UI interfaces other than the usual.

You can add portlet capabilities to a web project (right click on project > MyEclipse > Add Portlet Capabilities) and select the Portlet version in the wizard. Attached is the screenshot for your reference.

You can check this tutorial on JSR-168 to get an idea about Portlet support in MyEclipse :

    Thanks you for the clarification.

    I have one more question

1)As a part of the purchasing process, we would like to know if the WAS-server-for-developers can be downloaded at free of cost and used for developing projects / products / applications which will eventually be sold to a customer. (However this free WAS will only be used for running the application locally and testing it and “not” in the real time Production environment)

    darhieus,

IBM is providing a free-of-charge WAS development runtime for developer desktops.

Take a look at this FAQ on how to get free Websphere App Server for development :
    https://www.genuitec.com/forums/topic/free-websphere-app-server-for-developers/

    Hope this helps.

    Thank you Swapna.

    It was useful.

The next step is to get a comparison list of feature between “Eclipse” and “MyEclipseBlue”.

If possible can you please direct to resource / materials where I can get a feature comparison between Eclipse and MyEclipseBlue. Thanks.
