Hi

I just purchased myeclipseide and am looking forward to using it

I am running Windows XP and have downloaded EnterpriseWorkbenchInstaller_030801.exe. When I double click the installer exe it begins to extract files and then gives an error message

“Can’t launch executable. Could not find suitable Java Virtual Machine on your system. See http://java.sun.com to install one.
Try re-installing the Java VM or changing the Java VM used by the application.
==================
I have several JDK’s on this laptop. But they have all been manually installed by Unzipping in a directory.

What do I need to do so I can install. I am sure its something I have not done. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Well I guess I wll answer to my own post..

I am using j2sdk1.4.2 on windows XP and I installed manually.. so the default PATH environment entries pointing to my jdk did not exist.

I seemed to have resolved the problem simply by putting my jdk bin dir in the windows xp path settings…

Hope this helps someone else…Even though it was simple.
