We have some enhancements on the drawing board but they have not been committed to development yet. We are constantly evaluating how

We recently introduced mobile development tools in our MyEclipse IDE product. MyEclipse is more open than MobiOne and you can use other HTML5 frameworks such as Kendo, JQuery Mobile, Sencha, …

DO is possible to start a project into Mobione and reopen It into My eclipse to finish the work with the other frameworks ?

A couple of thoughts:
1) do you envision mixing mobione and 3rd party widgets? I ask because in some cases they may not be compatible.
2) I need to double check on this but a key issue is that mobione apps use a slightly modified version of cordova to support some widget and action behaviors. MyEclipse does not do this. Let me sync with the myeclpse dev team on Monday to learn if it is possible now to override the standard unmodified cordova.js library used in myeclipse with the mobione version. Will follow up as soon as I know more on this.
MassimilianoFabbriMemberTelerik has released the Kendo UI under Apache 2 license. So now It is possible tu use it also in commercial products.
Do you think to integrate kendo UI into the mobione ide ? It would e a great thing.
Please let us know if you are considernirng this possibility.
Thanks
support-michaelKeymasterYep, I saw the ANN for kendo core OSS today. Nice!
As a personal project I’ve been toying with the idea of what would be required to replace the pseudo-widgets of mobione with an off the shelf UI framework. Still very early in the theory end of things atm.
Mike FelkerParticipantThe thing is, MobiOne is ideal for less advanced programmers due to its drag and drop nature. I was able to create an entire app in a few days with little programming. It was very well received.
MyEclipse is for traditional and advanced programmers. I find it horribly confusing. I don’t even know how to start a mobile app project and the drag and drop nature I love about MobiOne (and why I shelled out the money) is missing in MyEclipse.
It alarms me to hear these kind of conversations because it sounds like we are gently being steered towards MyEclipse due to a possible eventual end for MobiOne. If this happens, I wasted my money. I love MobiOne and feel it would be perfect if it just had a more complete feature set of controls.
If you can create a version of MyEclipse with the drag and drop nature of MobiOne and a more clear way to create mobile apps, then I will be satisfied and not worry about MobiOne’s future. As it stands now, I’m worried.

BrandonMemberI have been using myeclipse for my newest project. It does have a visual designer, but not quite drag and drop like Mobione, still not as bad as it appears. I may be doing some tutorials on it…still unsure. Certainly a more powerful platform for development..
