    Hi,

I am using My-Eclipse version 6.0.1 with weblogic server 10.3.5, I am not able to inspect the values on the debug points that i have set in my code. I get the following message when i put a watch or inspect their value by Ctrl+Shift+I.

Evaluations must contain either an expression or a block of well-formed statements

I have checked the forums and this bug was reported in earlier versions on eclipse and was fixed also. So please share the solution/configuration settings for it.

    Regards,
    Sagar Sharma

    sagarsharma,

Sorry that you are seeing this issue with MyEclipse. The issue seems to be fixed in Eclipse 3.3.

I suggest you upgrade to our latest release MyEclipse 10. We have fixed lot of performance issues and memory issues in the journey from ME 6 to ME 10.

    a) You can install MyEclipse 10 via Pulse, all you have to do is to:

    1. Launch the Pulse Explorer (Start > Programs > Pulse) or download from http://www.poweredbypulse.com.
    2. Switch to the Indigo realm
    3. Select Profiles under Ready to Use Profiles
    4. You should see a MyEclipse 10 profile listed there
    5. Select the MyEclipse profile that you want to install, right click and choose “Run…”
    6. Follow the wizard. Once done open the IDE , switch to a new workspace , create a new project and check if the issue persists.

    b) If you are not looking to update to the latest release, then I suggest you atleast upgrade to MyEclipse 6.6. You can do it from the MyEclipse Configuration Center > Software > Software Updates Available. Alternatively you can use Pulse to install MyEclipse 6.6. Open the Pulse Explorer, switch to the Europa realm and follow the steps as listed above.

Let us know how this works for you.

    Hi Swapna,

I have installed weblogic 9.1 version and tried to debug the values on the debug points. But it did not work and i am not able to check the values of variables using Ctrl+Shift+I
or in watch mode. However this time i got a differnt message for which i have attached a screen shot for your reference.

We are using Oracle Weblogic Server 10.3.5 with My Eclipse.

Also for your information i tried My Eclipse 10.0 also but it was too heavy for the system and it was not able to build the workspace as everytime it disrupted with a out of memory error.

Please share the next steps of solution so that this problem can be resolved.

    Regards,
    Sagar Sharma

    sagarsharma ,

Sorry that you are seeing this issue with MyEclipse 10.

Please take a look at this FAQ to increase the heap space if you are working with large workspace :
    https://www.genuitec.com/forums/topic/troubleshooting-memory-amp-performance-issues/

I suggest you switch to a new workspace, create a sample project and check if the issue persists.

Let us know how it works for you.
