Hi,
I evaluated CodeMix for my company. We are 10 developers.
– We all use a desktop machine and a laptop. So we would have 2 installations. I’ve read this is possible for a personal license. Is this also possible for commercial licenses?
– Sometimes we also have to use our customers laptops for development, because this is the only to to access their dev-environment (Nexus, Git, etc.). So for me I have 3 laptops (2 customers and my own) and a desktop station. Once the customers project is over the laptop is wiped and returns and I only use one installation less. How would this scenario work?
– The information about the commercial license on your web-site is rare and so we are not sure what the benefits are and why we should pay 480$ instead of 290$ per year?

Our live chat is usually a private chat and you’re only redirected to the forums if no agents are available at that time. Even then we realize it should be more clear that a public forum post will be made. We will look into it.
A commercial license makes it easier to manage multiple seats, for instance you can make a single purchase for your company as opposed to having each developer purchase their own licenses. It also makes it easier to manage license use for the case you described, but I’ll have the sales team follow up with a more detailed answer later today.

Sorry about the surprising experience with Live Chat – we’re looking into changes that will make its behavior more clear.
As Swapna stated, the commercial license is easier to purchase and renew, and we’ll be able to better manage the use of the license across multiple systems, as opposed to the personal license which has limited flexibility here. For your use of CodeMix, I would recommend the Commercial license.
