Can someone please shed light into the difference between Phonegap and Cordova? In ME2014 Cordova was used, in ME2015 Phonegap is used.

I read this article:

and am still confused.

So for my understanding in ME2015 cordova.js should have been used instead of phonegap.js because phonegap may run commercial by Adobe whereas cordova is free. And even though both are actually the same. For now.

In case someone wants to create a commercial application, what would you choose? Both are currently licensed under Apache 2.0 license.
