Hi,

We are using myeclipse blue and i have the below query

I have installed my application plug-ins&features and now i want to update one of the plug-in/feature with latest,could you please let me know the setps/how to do

If you have added the plugins using the dropins mechanism, you need to remove the said plugins from dropins and add the respective updated plug-in/feature in your myeclipse installation dir/dropins. Next restart your IDE, you would be prompted with details of the changes to your plugins.

1) Here is a tutorial on installing/updating plugins. Please refer to Section 5.

2) We do not provide intrinsic support to third party plugins.If you do not see any updates for your third party plugins then you have to uninstall them from the MyEclipse Configuration Center and install the latest version of the plugin.

3)Please make sure the version of the plugin being installed is compatible with the base Eclipse version of MyEclipse Blue.

Hi,

We are not using the dropins folder for plug-ins.
we have used the myeclipse configuration center to install my application plug-ins and now i want to install/update one of those feature/plug-in with newer version.
What i have tried is i have added a new site which points to the newer version in the myeclipse configuration center.Since this feature name is same as the existing im not able to add to the profile.
please let me know how to do this

1) What exact feature are you trying to update?Did you remove/uninstall the existing version of your feature/plugin before installing the newer version?

2) You will have to unstall it through the configuration center, apply the changes and then try installing the newer version.
