    Hi guys,

I’m running MyEclipse 7.1 IDE in one enviroment that don’t use proxy with automatic detecting settings, however the IDE and also Pulse don’t have one option to support this and they don’t provide the proxy IP. Everything is made by remote administration and I don’t have one full admin account. What can I do to fix it ?
The SO is Windows XP SP3, one a core duo 6400 – 2.13Ghz, 2Gb RAM
    Thanks in advance.

    kvillaca,
Is the issue that you want MyEclipse to detect your proxy settings?

If that’s the case, you can setup the proxy from within the Pulse Explorer by right-clicking in the left navigation section and selecting Preferences… > Pulse > Network Settings From within MyEclipse you can set the various proxy settings at Windows > Prefs > General > Network connection.

So, with JBoss Developer Studio I just have selected the System Proxy Configuration (if available) and it works. I have tried do this with MyEclipse but without success.
And I take a look on that place that you told me, although I need the IP : port to set up properly, and they don’t provide this for me.
    Any suggestion ?
    Thanks

    kvillaca,

What option have you selected to configure your proxy setting? What is the version of MyEclipse you are using? Can you copy and paste your installation detail? You can get it from MyEclipse > Installation Summary > Installation Detail.
A week back, pulse released an update of 2.4.2(Refer to this post for more details on this release – http://www.poweredbypulse.com/forums/showthread.php?p=3431). Can you clarify if you have installed the update? If not, I would recommend you to do that. You can click on MyEclipse > Manage MyEclipse Plugins. This will open MyEclipse Dashboard. You should see Pulse update for 2.4.2. Click on [Install] and [OK].

    Hi,
I’m using de MyEclipse 7.1 and I have selected the first option from Window –> Preferences –> General –> Network connections that is “System Proxy Configuration (if available)” is odd because with JBoss Dev Studio it works, but with MyEclispe, I’m receiving one message that tell me that I don’t have connection with internet. I can’t tell you what pulse version is, because he doesn’t start due the connection.

If that computer has never successfully gone online then it won’t have the Pulse 2.4.2 release, which means on every startup Pulse will override that setting you are making on the Network Connections panel unfortunately.

You will have to forcibly update your version of Pulse on your machine. You needs to go to http://www.poweredbypulse.com, download the latest Pulse, run the installer until it gets to the Login screen (where it shows you can login with a username, anonymously, etc.) and just hit Cancel (make sure MyEclipse is shut down during this time).

This will update the Pulse install so when you fire MyEclipse back up and make that network setting, it should stay selected on restart

Thank you for your prompt help, although it doesn’t worked. I did the install but it never reach that part where I might login as anonymous and etc. He ask for proxy configuration before it. I’ll create one back up from that one that I have into my portable drive, and copy it to HD every time that it have some updates, or weekly something like that.
    Thank you once again.

    kvillaca,

Can you take a look at this post – https://www.genuitec.com/forums/topic/manual-proxy-configuration-is-resetting-itself-in-myeclipse/#post-298602 You can use Window > Preferences > Pulse > Network Settings to enter your proxy details.

Besides entering proxy information is to try different connection modes.

    1. You can try compatibility mode, which normally fixes up any problems with NTLM proxies.
    2. If that doesn’t work, you can fall back completely to the JDK communication stack and see if that works.

You’ll need to restart MyEclipse between the changes though, but those two options usually help folks that are still stuck with proxy issues. Let me know if this works for you.
