I do not see any of the professional level features

Complimentary Subscription Detail from the README

I have had a full release of Eclipse 3.1 SDK since JavaONE 2005 release announcement.
I have downloaded MyEclipse 4.0GA yesterday

Why does the complimentary licence feature not work at all?
What can I do to change this __WITHOUT__ reinstalling Eclipse 3.1 again?

Some corporations like mine do not allow ordinary Win Professional XP users to
to change files under C:\Program Files\ folder. Genuitec has to offer a better
solution than the advice I read.

    “6) COMPLEMENTARY PROFESSIONAL LICENSE UPGRADE
Beginning August 29, 2005 all existing ME subscriptions will be automatically upgraded to PRO subscriptions for the remainder of their subscription term. In addition, all users will have the opportunity to renew for another year at the standard subscription rate and receive a Pro key. Information on this program will be posted to the MyEclipse website and will be detailed in an upcoming newsletter.”

    Peter,

    Can you see File > New > Other… > MyEclipse > UML > UML Model Repository…?

If so, the pro features seem fine. The key will show as a standard key, but will be treated like a professional key through its expiry. We took this approach, rather than reissuing keys, since it’s much easier for our users. The other alternative is to regenerate thousands of keys and get people to install them and that just isn’t feasible.

If you can’t see that wizard launch point above, can you please post the information we request in the Posting Guidelines thread at the top of the forum so we can look a bit deeper.

    Please accept my appologies.

The link is definitely there, because I can open the UML Model Repository now.
I was looking for the top level menubar item “UML”, which DOES NOT appear
    until you follow

    File > New > Other… > MyEclipse > UML > UML Model Repository

Here is the email from Genuitec themselves

“Genuitec has revised the MyEclipse features into two editions: the Standard Edition (SE) and the Professional Edition (Pro).

The MyEclipse Enterprise Workbench ? Standard Edition is the former MyEclipse product, plus all new J2EE-related features, with a new name. The scope of its features will continue to be the facilitation of development efforts using J2EE-centric and closely related technologies. The subscription price remains $29.95 / year.

MyEclipse Enterprise Workbench ? Professional Edition is a superset of the Standard Edition and includes advanced non-J2EE specific development features such as UML modeling and extended Oracle type browsing / editing and execution of functions and stored-procedures. This subscription price is $49.95 / year.

No compromises have been made in scope or quality of SE features relative to the Pro version. Going forward, we have made a commitment to upgrade all SE users to the Pro level for the remainder of their subscription period by treating their current licenses as Pro licenses in the new release. This policy will apply to all existing customers, regardless of expiration date. This offer will be available at the MyEclipse site through September 15, 2005.

If an exiting customer, you don’t have to take any action to gain access to the professional features. All subscriptions purchased before September 15th, 2005 are automatically upgraded to the Professional level at no additional cost for the duration of the membership. If not, you have until 9/15/2005 to take advantage of this offer”

Congrats on the 4.0 GA release. It is a great value product.
