VS Code has a Remote Workspace.

Jose,

Currently, the extensions for Remote Workspace cannot be installed to CodeMix due to some incompatibilities. We will work on it soon.

On the Eclipse side, you can try Remote Systems Explorer (RSE) which allows you to connect and work with a variety of remote systems.
