Currently, as of ME 4.1.1, ME and the JBoss IDE 1.5.1 do not play nice. This is disappointing to me as I want to use both (I’m doing a lot of EJB3 work, and want to start investigating jBPM), but ME clobbers all of the hibernate/ejb3 stuff in JBoss IDE to the point where the views and perspectives are not even visible/available.

If you were to resolve this, ME would gain Hibernate 3.1.x support, EJB3 support, GUI-based jBPM, AOP, and Seam support “automatically”. This would be HUGE!

I am not a ME developer, but this seems like a large gain for what is quite possibly a fairly small amount of work, especially given how responsive the JBoss crew is.

    Thanks for listening…

    Chris,
The clobbering is unintentional and we work closely with the JBossIDE team, they do great work. This will all be resolved in 5.0.
