    Hi,

Tried to reverse engineer to hibernate 2 — and got the message that it only creates v. 3 code. Is there some option or flag — I know I used to be able to reverse engineer to 2.0

Can you please upload a screenshot of the error message here for me.

What version of MyEclipse are you working with? Can you go to MyEclipse > Installation Summary > Installation Details and paste the information here for me.

Here’s the message. I’ve now gotten it with ME 5.5, 6.6 and 7.0

It recognizes the project has Hibernate 2.0 abilities — and then says it only can generate 3.0 code.

Is there supposed to be support for Hibernate 2.0 reverse engineering? If not, can I download the older version of myeclipse that still supported it?

    Lee,

I would like to suggest that you simply change the DTD in the generated mapping files to use the Hibernate 2.0 DTD instead of the 3.0 DTD. There may be a few problems with the generated code but you should be able to correct those by hand.
I’m afraid there is no UI switch which will enable 2.0 support at this time; if you find the above unsatisfactory, please let us know.

I’ll give it a try — but yes, I find this a less than satisfying solution. This is the first thing I’ve shown to my new team about the great virtues of MyEclipse.
