    Hi

Is there any other way to add text which i can scroll (if it is to long) other
than add panel then a text over?

my app includes several pages with long text and it seems i can not keep it
in order what ever i do. it changes when i switch a device.

if it could be a container where you can add your text and auto adjust
no matter the text length or the device it would be great.

Take a look at the Auto-Resize documentation. This should help.

Make sure you have your textfield(s) nested inside your panel (in your project tree), and then auto-resize the panel.

Can you post your .mobi file or an example one that shows the problem you are experiencing?

I do not understand the problem. The panel is auto adjusting to the device when the screen size changes and the panel is scrolling to show all the text when the device screen is too small. What am I missing?

if you change device, you will notice that the text is not resize to fit proper.

Are you seeing these issues when you switch devices and orientations while in design mode, or when you are running in the simulator? I see the issue (I think) that you are referring to, but only when switching in design mode. When I run in the simulator and change orientations the text fits ok.

if you change device, you will notice that the text is not resize to fit proper.

Also, just to clarify: You are only trying to get the textfield to resize, not the actual text font size, correct? Because the font will not automatically resize.

Sorry, I am trying to help but still kind of trying to figure out the issue.

I see the concern now, I didn’t see this as an issue when I was first running it but I can see why you would want to fix it.

You are trying to dynamically change the content area height of the panel as it changes. I have never done this, but you may find the answer in one of these posts on Dynamically Changing Content Height Area that might help.

Specifically, I think the answer is in this post viewtopic.php?f=8&t=5324.

Sorry I can’t be of more help.

I’d like to suggest some more-extreme measures to guarentee sucess.

You need multiple versions of your pages. Therefore, if you’re landscape, autosense that you are landscape and show the landscape page. If you are portrait, autosense that you are portrait and show the portrait version of the page. Autoformatting just don’t work, and it certainly doesn’t work better than having multiple versions of a page (properly formatted) to show your user.
