andyfitzsimmonsMemberHi,
I have a few simple questions re MyEclipse 7.5 UML2 pertaining to Sequence Diagrams.1. If you draw a lifeline, is there a way to change the obj box at the top of the lifeline to a Use Case stick figure to link back to Use Case actor?
2.The function to create a duplicate diagram creates a dupe but even if I rename the second diagram they remain linked… so if you update one the other updates… is there away to break the linkage so you can use “duplicate diagram” to draw a portion but then edit and create a new diagram?
3. How do you draw a ‘self message ‘to show some action taken by object during execution on lifeline- I cannot figure out how to bend the messages back to the originating lifeline/execution?.

You can’t change the obj. figure at the top of lifeline to anything else..However, You can associate an actor from the use case to the lifeline through the “Represents” property from the property sheet.

Could you give me some more details about what you are looking for here.

1. Create a Execution specification on the lifeline.
2. Select the message from the palette.
3. Select the starting location on the Exec. Spec.
4. Keeping the mouse pressed, drag to the end location on the same Exec. spec.
5. Release the mouse button.
6. An additional Exec. spec would be added to the end point (the point at which the mouse was released) and a self message would be created. -
