So, requests for Struts 2.x, the latest version of the most widely used web framework, has been getting requests for support (as I look back in this forum) from 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, and 2007, and there are STILL no plans to support it?. I daresay that is is the IDE’s largest weakness that you can only do Struts 1.

Would YOU start a new project in Struts 1? I wouldn’t, any more than I would specify using Java 1.4.1. At least show a plan for supporing it. Otherwise, a lot of us are going to have to find out who IS supporing it.

I would be using this product today (along with several other developers on my team) if we could get built in support for Struts 2.0

    Thanks

I was expecting Struts 2 support integrated with MyEclipse 6. Anyways, Struts 2 is far far better than Struts 1 and I have heard many people shifting on Struts 2 as its really gr8. We are also developing our project in Struts 2. Struts 1 is getting obsolete very quickly. So please! add Struts 2 support. With MyEclipse 6 adding support for so many gr8 new technologies Struts 2 with its ever increasing popularity should be a must.

    Straight from the heart 😉

I am very interested in seeing Struts 2 support in MyEclipse.

Is there a better way to register the request for Struts 2 than this forum?

Here at the University of Kansas, we have standardized most of our new web development on Struts 2. We also currently have a handfull of MyEclipse licenses. We would definitely like to see Struts 2 support in MyEclipse. Hopefully, it is in progress.

    Thanks,
