In 3.8beta2 I’m sure that I used to be able to open the source code for a struts Action by double clicking the relevant Action on the design canvas. Now that brings up the properties dialog, and there seems no way at all to jump to the source code. Am I mis-remembering? If so, please move this to ‘Feature requests’ along with a request to have the outline view stay in synch with the design view.

Also can you explain what you mean by “in sync”?

I’m requesting that we introduce a consistent CTRL-Click behavior to open source for the designer as well as other editors. I’ll keep you posted.

By ‘in synch’ I mean that as I select elements in the design or source view the corresponding element could be shown in the outline view (this works partially the other way round at present – if I select elements in the outline view with the source view open, the corresponding source element is highlighted). Selecting for example an action element in the design view then swapping to source should show me the same action element. It would make the whole business of flicking around a struts app much easier 🙂
