    Windows 10 pro version 1709 build 16299.371
Eclipse Java EE IDE for Web Developers and also Eclipse for Java developers

Two users working with Eclipse Oxygen + DevStyle and Windows 10 reported that in the DevStyle theme the IDE crashes/freezes with SWT: No more handles error when the Top Level Elements is set to ‘Working Sets’ in the Package Explorer.

Without DD plugin or with a different theme like Classic, the problem does not occur. With DD, if the Top Level Elements is set to Projects then the problem is not seen.

    Steps to replicate :

    1. Download fresh Eclipse for java developers
    2. Install Darkest Dark from marketplace
    3. Create empty GIT repository ( looks like GIT annotations plays some part in this)
    4. Create some projects with some files, import them into workspace and add to git repo (i just cloned one project 6 times)
    5. Create 10 working sets and add every project to every working set, set Package Explorer top level elements to working sets.
    6. Open windows task manager, click “Details”, click on table header and add “GDI Objects” column
    7. Now try to edit some files, every time you make a change GDI Objects+=200. After counter hits 10000 you get “SWT no more handles” error.

    Attached is the log file.
