Sybase connection succeeds, view db causes null ptr

    Hi,

    I have succeeded in creating a Sybase connection from the MyEclipse Java Persistence perspective (I have done this several times with mysql and progressql). I write and execute a select.

    However, when trying to actually drill down to see the database – or generate entities – MyEclipse throws a NullPointerException:

    Problems occurred when invoking code from plug-in: “org.eclipse.jface”.

    Version: 2013
    Build id: 11.0-20130401

    iProcesses,

    Sorry that you are seeing this issue. I could not replicate the issue with Sybase DB at my end.

    Can you please give us some more information ?

    1. Please share MyEclipse Installation Details from MyEclipse > Installation Summary > Installation Details.
    2. Also share the Sybase installation details (which Sybase product , the version details and where it is running).
    3. Can you please clarify that you can generate entities and see no issues with other databases configured in MyEclipse 2013?
