paralaksgmail-comParticipantSyntax coloring feature in Eclipse has been horrible for over a decade. Preview does not work, there are too many options, it is not possible to click on an element in the preview screen to be able to change color for an element and the list goes on. IntelliJ has done a very good job with customizations.
I was hoping CodeMix would provide something better but to my surprise, things are worse! Would it be possible to enhance syntax coloring section such that:
* Remove bugs. When I change colors for some elements and hit apply I get an error message: “Error notifying a preference change listener. Check the log for details. Argument cannot be null”
* Add a preview panel which allows selecting element to be customized by clicking (as IntelliJ products do)Thanks

support-swapnaModeratorHi,
Thank you for trying CodeMix. Appreciate your recommendations for syntax coloring. I have forwarded them to the dev team to take a look.
About the errors you are seeing when changing the colors for some elements, can you please elaborate and share with us more details about which elements you are trying to change and also share with us the workspace log file located at workspace dir/.metadata/.log to help us get the full stacktrace of the errors being logged?Apologies for inconvenience caused.

paralaksgmail-comParticipantHello,
I have attached the captured error message. Here is how it happened:
Window -> Preferences -> Syntax Coloring -> Classes, change color, hit apply and get the errors. Error pop-up keeps being displayed until I hit Restore Default to clear customised color. This happens for some elements in the list, not all of them.Thanks.

jhugohrMemberhey,
sorry about the issue you are having with customizing colors. Can you please:
1) Check what is the status of CodeMix. Can you see a blue circle on the bottom left corner of your ide window?
2) Share your log file. You can find it at <$your-workspace-dir>/.metadata/.log
Thanks in advance.
