ksgettingParticipantI am setting up a new laptop, and am using MyEclipse 2016 for the first time (my old laptop runs 2015). My install details for MyEclipse are listed at the bottom. I am setting up a workspace from scratch. I am wondering if I set something wrong with my web project. Here is the issue:
When I launch any web application published to my local Tomcat server, no javascript is loaded and it appears that most if not all of the css is ignored/not found.
Looking at the published web application, I can see all of the resource files (jsp, js, css) right where I would expect them to be. Is there something I need to set in the web project that I have overlooked? Perhaps something new with the 2016 version? Other websites render just fine with any of my browsers, so I don’t think it’s any issue with my browsers.
Here are the variations I have tried to diagnose the issue (none have solved the issue.)
1) I have tried 2 different browsers.
2) I have tried Tomcat 7 (builtin) and Tomcat 8.*** Date:

ksgettingParticipantIt appears that none of the import statements are being processed:
Unrecognized at-rule or error parsing at-rule ‘@import’.
The import above is inside the main css file.
support-swapnaModeratorksgetting,
Thank you for trying MyEclipse 2016.Sorry that you are seeing this issue.
1. There ought to be nothing before an @import rule, except maybe comments, blank lines, and other @import rules. Can you please recheck the same?
2. Does the same web application work in MyEclipse 2015? Please name the two browsers you checked with.
3. Are you using a relative or absolute URL for referencing the css and js files?
4. Please do a view source and check your css location. Copy it into your browser URL bar. Can you load it?
5. Can you please inspect the browser developer tools and let us know what exact errors/messages you are seeing in the console for CSS/JS? Please share the full details with us.
Apologies for inconvenience caused.

ksgettingParticipant1) There is nothing in front of the @import statement. It is on the first line of the css file:
@import “template.css”; Also keep in mind that none of the import statements seem to be working. in terms of the css, nothing has changed for a long time.2) I have not installed.tried 2015. Is my new workspace created by 2016 going to be compatible? The 2 browsers are Firefox and MS Edge.
3) Relative, and in this case the css file in the import statement is located in the same folder.
4) Yes I can load it.
5) Not sure what you are asking for. Is this what you mean? (See attached file)
FYI, I tried switching to a new Tomcat server with Java 7. Same problem.

support-swapnaModeratorksgetting,
Thank you for the details and the console contents.
If you can access the files using the URL from the browser and if the content is loading correctly, then the files are deployed correctly by MyEclipse.
The problem might be specific to the browser while loading the files from the application. It might be due to incompatible browser version. Probably you might be using a newer version of the browser and the application code might not be supporting it, in which case you should modify your code to support the browser version.
Please also check if the issue persists with Chrome.I suggest you also cross post to development related forums like stackoverflow.com to get better support from the developer community.
Hope this helps. Please let us know how it works.
