I’ve just visited the roadmap again. You’ve delivered most of what was on the list for 2003 (with a few notable exceptions).
I “know” you have been busy getting 2.7 out the door. Once that is GA’d, I’d love to see a new roadmap showing your direction for the next year or so. Will you be publishing a new, revised 2004 roadmap?
Hopefully with EclipseCon out of the way there will be time to sit down and plan out the new roadmap. A lot of changes have been made due to volume of requests for features that weren’t previously on it recently, but I believe these requests have stabalized and either been address in internal development builds or are on the radar for 2.8.
ME team will try and put together an updated roadmap as soon as they get a chance,I’m sorry I can’t provide a timeline.
I totally understand. I’ve been in development for 30+ years. Plans don’t always work out the way they are laid out.
I’ve been pushing to get MyEclipse adopted as one of our standards at my place of business and an updated roadmap with what you all have on the radar for 2004 would be a great selling point.
I appreciate what you’ve delivered to date. The support and willingness to take ideas as enhancements is very much appreciated.
