Hi All,

I was working and a popup requested for upgrade to 2.3 from my previous version of 2.2. I accepted and the upgrade was fine until I clicked run to test one of the screens and test center did not come up. What has gone wrong? The progress information actually gets to ‘Activating Test Center” but nothing shows.

Hi donij,

Have you tried restart mobione?
If this doesn’t work please try uninstall and reinstall Mobione 2.3 again: https://www.genuitec.com/mobile/download.html

Hi Octavio,

I uninstalled and reinstalled but did not solve the problem. I observed that the problem occur only for screens built with the older version (2.2). I tested by building a new screen in the new version(2.3) and the Test Center came up fine. So what it means is that I will have to recreate all my screens from the previous version or is there an immediate solution?

Hi,

I think I got the problem resolved. Version 2.3 seems to be more strict in checking details but unfortunately does not report where the issue occurred.

I did some widget elimination to get my solution. In one screen (A) I have a link that references another screen (B). Screen (B) has a form with form action type screen(.mobi) and a form action referencing one of my screen templates. I changed the form action reference to a proper page and test center showed up when run. Because of the problem with Screen B the Link referencing it in screen A prevented Screen A running in test center. Fixing Screen B issue also fixed screen A

I guess this could help in reporting the such problems during test run or build.

Hi Octavio,

I have tried to repeat the same issue to mail you but I observed that everything is ok when the screens are freshly created in v2.3. The key issue seems to be with screens created and upgraded from previous version.

Just to highlight the issue again;

1. in one of my screens created from the previous version(2.2), if I change the form action type to screen(.mobi) and the form action to a screen template, the screen will not run in test center and any other screen with widget pointing to this screen will also not run. I have repeated the scenario with screens and templates created in the new version and there were no issues. So thinking it is issue arising from upgrade of the previous screens to the new version.
