From a development standpoint are the correct steps,

1 Select a “Mobile Web Framework” to develop with
    2 Use MobiOne to view.

I’m confused, it’s a emulator that you can view the website you developed. So why is there a dev environment with drag and drop capability?

Over the next few months MobiOne will be expanding to provide additional designer and developer tools beyond the emulation services that most are familiar with. The new Visual Designer available in milestone-6 is the first of these new tools. We have a cool source editor that will be rolling into the next milestone release. Ultimately MobiOne will provide an end-to-end mobile development environment from design mockup and site and app generation, HTML5 coding, and testing in the emulator and finally deployment to site or appstore.

    Hi,

We have a cool source editor that will be rolling into the next milestone release

… When will this be please? i am a Digital Marketer and Content Manager and will enjoy designing apps such as these (On PCs). I am an aspiring coder but if this can take the weight off for a newbie then thats great.

I have started designing my app using the visual editor but would like to test it in real time along side viewing the source code. Can i not do that in this version as i can view the source for the ESPN ap (for example)?

Is there a standard template i could use and then edit it to suit my design?

    Thanks,
    Mrc

    Hi MRC,

We are hoping to begin introduce code editing tools as part of mobione in the next few weeks.

W.r.t. to designer templates, we are very fond of that approach and have templates on our roadmap. Our first priority on the designer since it’s introduction last month has been to improve the basic visual layout experience. Along with better layouts we are adding more controls to the palette as well as HTML code generation. Look for these features to be available in a few more weeks.
