I have tried various “editor” settings in Eclipse and MyEclipse to enable UTF-8 in *.properties files. No luck. Even if we enhance our localization code in the application to properly interpret UTF-8 properties, the solution will not work unless we can successfully edit and save the data.

    Any options for accomplishing this?

    Thanks

    Allen,
The default editor for .properties file is the Eclipse “Text Editor”, that is not part of the MyEclipse product but instead is part of the base Eclipse framewokr.

OK, thanks. So I interpret your response to say that when working in the MyEclipse perspective, we will be using the Eclipse text editor when editing properties files. Sounds like a post to the Eclipse forum.

Correct. We don’t ship a .properties file editor.
