    hi

I was wondering whether you guys are planning to offer a visual jsp editor, i.e offer for struts-tags, tiles etc….
for the time being, I am using a free plugin, but it will be nice to have something similar within MyEclipse.
    cheers

    Patria,
Yes closer to the end of Q4 we are looking into some nicer framework-specific autocomplets and things of that nature. Nothing in 4.0 though.

Not exactly correct. We’ll be shipping a full WYSIWYG JSP-aware editor in 4.0 with a very nice split-screen (source / design) mode. It just hasn’t hit the milestone builds yet.

How about supporting it on Linux?

For the first release, it will be Windows only due to time / implementation / test constraints. Sorry.

Is this what you guys refer to as the jsf wysiwyg editor available to enterprise subscribers as of 4.0? If so, as a linux user that doesn’t need/use the uml stuff right now ….. you get where I’m going with this. Hopefully it can be available for Linux though before the ‘free’ year runs out.

well the problem I see with non windows support, is that probably all depends on how fast the webtools project for eclipse can implement stuff like that for linux and osx, MyEclipse is not the only plugin which has the inherent, we only can support wysiwyg in Windows.
