mangelo123ParticipantI am evaluating both Blue and Bling and the clock is ticking!! I started with Blue, added my local WAS 8.0.0.5 server and it starts from the IDE with no problems.
I switched over to Bling, configured WAS 8.0.0.5 in the exact same way and it will not start.
Here are the differences in the logs:
Blue:

The Bling version never starts up as you can see from the log entries!
mangelo123ParticipantUpdated to Bling 10.7 and the issue has been resolved.
mangelo123ParticipantWell, this just gets better and better!! I decided to delete my project and start fresh with primefaces. I’ve created a Maven-enabled web project. I go to add a listener to the web.xml, and the default editor is now the MyEclipse Web Browser. So, I tried to open it up with the MyEclipse XML editor and I see the message “file contents not local”.
WHAT?
I checked the directory and sure enough there is no web.xml file.
mangelo123ParticipantI smell NetBeans right around the corner!!
I tried to recreate the web.xml manually and I got an error message saying that the MyEclipse template for web.xml was not found!!
WTF did you people create in version 10.7??
HOLY CRAP!
mangelo123ParticipantOk. I uninstalled EVERYTHING and started over. I re-installed Bling 10.6 and then immediately installed the updates which brings it to 10.7 and everything is working.
WOW!
mangelo123ParticipantNot we are back to not working. There are a number of scenarios, each seeming to involve Maven, that do not work. In various areas I am getting the “file contents not local”.
I’ve even used the MyEclipse tools to add Spring capabilities to a Maven project and the applicationConttext.xml was right there in my project listing and yet when I tried to open it I saw the same message in the editor!
This evaluation is not going very well I might add.
support-pradeepMembermangelo123,
Sorry that you are seeing this issue.
Can you please answer some queries to help us investigate further :
1) Can you please share your OS details ?
2) Can you please mention the exact steps in detail to help us replicate the issue at our end ?
3) Can you please switch to a new workspace and try to replicate the issue ?
4) Clear the contents of .log file located at <workspace>/.metadata/.log, replicate the issue and copy paste the contents here to help us investigate further ?I have tried opening a applicationContext.xml file, it opened perfectly without any issues. Can you please try opening the applicationcontext.xml file with “MyEclipse Spring config editor” and check if it works.
mangelo123ParticipantI am on Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit.
Are there tutorials on creating a maven-enabled, JSF, Spring, JPA Web applications? I am just getting very frustrated.
If I create a maven web project and then add spring or JSF first, I am expecting more configuration added by ME. Where is the faces.config entry to allow using spring beans vs. managed beans? Why is there so much junk added for a WebSphere project (guice, jboss stuff, glassfish, etc)? A basic web application shows an error right out of the box complaining about another resource adding guice-2.0.
mangelo123ParticipantI tried something very simple. I created a web app and then Spring CRUD Scaffolding. It did not work.
I am attaching the log.

support-pradeepMembermangelo123,
Can you please follow this Spring 3.0 MVC Scaffolding tutorial and check whether it is working or not :
