hi,
environment
– Mac OS X 10.5.4
– MyEclipse Enterprise Workbench
Version: 6.5.1 GA
Build id: 6.5.1-GA-20080715
– installed by pulse 2.0

problem 1)
– the web browser url box looks read only: cannot write into.
– i can select from the url combo box previous entries, they work, the url is accessed and correctly displayed in browser but the url itself is not even displayed in the combo.

problem 2)
– i open the web services explorer
– choose the WSDL view
– click on WSDL main on left
– enter an url (http://localhost:8080/<my service>/<myserviceport>?WSDL)
– click “go”: nothing happens
– click go again: javascript error: “please wait. The operation is still in progress”
please note that the web service works: if i access the above url from an external browser, it works, i get the WSDL.

Paolo,
Can you right-click on the MyEclipse profile and select reinstall and run and see if it helps. We saw this 1 other time and it suddenly went away for the user and after our analysis we were never able to tell what plugin conflict was occurring that caused it.

before posting i tried to remove the profile and reinstall from scratch with no result (and after that i posted this message)
The only plugin i am using is subclipse. Do you think it is meaningful to try to reinstall everything without subclipse ?

The subclipse should not cause this issue but can you give it a shot. Just make sure the web browser works before you setup subclipse again.

i deleted everything:
pulse
caches
profiles
preferences

i reinstalled pulse
i chose the myeclipse profile without any additional plugin
i started the myeclipse on an empty workspace
i launched the web browser: still cannot write in the url box
