How did yous setup MyEclipse? Did you use the All in one installer? What version of Eclipse did you setup MyEclipse with? Can you go to MyEclipse > Installation Summary > Installation Details and paste the information here for me.

What project are you trying to add web project capabilities to? If the project is already a web project, the capabilities will remain disabled.

I want to create a new Web project but there is no option for web projects in File > New > Project.
I can’t even able to configure the server because there is no option for server configuration in Windows > Preferences > MyEclipse > Servers.
This is a very strange kind of problem because i’ve used the same installer on other machine and there it’s working fine with all the options enable.
    So please help me out.
    Thanks

    waqasqadri,
Looks like this particular install is corrupt. Can you please reinstall MyEclipse to a brand new location and test this again.

I re-install it many times but problem is still there.
I installed the same version in another machine and got the same problem over there as well.
And on that machine i can’t even able to see ‘installaion summary’. When i click on ‘installaion summary’ it gives an error:

THE CHOSEN OPERATION IS NOT CURRENTLY AVAILABLE.

    Please help me out.
    Thanks

    waqasqadri,

Sorry to hear you ran into this issue. Can you answer the following ?
    1. How did you install MyEclipse? meaning – using the all-in-one installer downloaded from the site? using pulse? update using eclipse?
    2. Do you remember the version of myeclipse you are trying to install?
    3. what is your operating system?
    4. Can you copy paste your ini file details here? MyEclipse.ini file should be located in your MyEclipse installation folder.
    5. Can you attach your log files here? Log files should be present in [MyEclipse installation folder]/.metadata/.log

Please use [Post Reply] instead of *Quick Reply*. This has additional features to update attachments.

    Thank you for your help.

    waqasqadri,

I would like to point to you, if you are using pulse(www.poweredbypulse.com), then we can use a quick-fix.
    1. Open pulse explorer
    2. Click on MyProfiles
    3. Click on MyEclipse
    4. Right clikc on MyEclipse and click on [Run]/[Install and Run]/[Re-install and run]

If you are not using pulse, then please furnish the above details. I will get back to you ASAP.

    Thanks for the reply.
    1. I had MyEclpise 6.0.1 installer (MyEclipse_6.0.1GA_E3.3.1_Installer.exe). When i run the installer it asked for the eclpise SDK path. I had eclipse-SDK-3.3-win32. I gave the path and it install the MyEclipse on specifed location.

    2. I am installing MyEclpise 6.0.1 on top of eclipse SDK (eclipse-SDK-3.3-win32).

    3. My operating system is windows XP.

    4. I can not find MyEclipse.ini. Can you please specify the path.

    5. Are you talking about MyEclipse_6.0.1_InstallLog.log file located in MyEclpise folder?

One thing worth mentioning over here is that i used the same pattern of installing the same version on the same machine with same operating system once. And at that time it was working absolutely fine. But now when i re-installed it, it starts creating problem.

    waqasqadri,

    Thanks for the details.

    4. config file should be located in the same folder as your myeclipse.exe. Can you perform a system search and look for *eclipse.ini and *eclipse.exe?
    5. yes, can you please attach the log file?

Interesting, if this worked for you earlier, it should work again. Have you installed any 3rd party plugins to MyEclipse recently? If yes, can you remove and see, if it works?

Can you tell me how to attach the log file on the forum

You will have to pm us the file. You can hot the pm button below our post and send us the file.

If the All in One installer is not working for you, you should set up Eclipse Classic separately and then setup MyEclipse using the Archive Update site.
