I am evaluating MyEclipse Blue (Version: 2013 SR1 Blue) as a potential replacement for RAD.

We are currently working with WebSphere Portal 6.1.5.

When I create a project for WebSphere Portal 6.1.5, MyEclipse will not let me add JSR 286 facets to the project, at last not that I can figure out. Is this possible?

WebSphere 6.1.5 does support JSR 286 portlets.

This screen shot shows the project setup:

This screen shot shows that I can’t switch the JSR level to 2.0 (JSR 286)

I’ve tried a few different ways to accomplish it and they have all been unsuccessful.

I have been able to create JSR 286 projects if I am using generic runtimes.

    Arggg….

I messed up the facet image in the post, but you can still see it at the bottom of the post.

    seannewby,

Thank you for raising it. I could replicate the issue at my end and I have raised a PR for the dev team to look into it.

The workaround would be to not use any runtime in the portlet project, install JSR286 support and manually add containers to the project. You can add them through “Build path” -> “Add Library” -> “MyEclipse Server Libraries”

    Sorry for inconvenience caused.

    seannewby,

JSR 286 facet for Websphere Portal 6.1 is now supported in our latest release MyEclipse 2015 CI 6.

Please download the MyEclipse 2015 CI 6 from here . If you are already on MyEclipse 2015 CI, then go to Help > Check for Updates and apply the update.

Let us know if you see any issues.
