    Hi,

I have just purchased subscription license of MyEclipise Professional P200 and wanted to download it.

But got confused , what to download MyEclipse 8.6.1 or 9.0 ?

Went thru couple of notes, but want to understand MyEclipise Development Releases.

    Can some explain me ?

    Regards

    Ajay,
Development releases are intermediate builds of MyEclipse that are made available so that users can try out the new features, especially those features that you may have been waiting for, and don’t want to wait for the next official release. These releases are the snapshots of the ongoing development process.
We recommend you to download the stable MyEclipse 8.6.1 release, however you can also download the MyEclipse 9.0 M2 development release if you are interested in trying out the new features. Links on the new and noteworthy are given below.
    MyEclipse 8.6.1 – http://myeclipseide.com/module-htmlpages-display-pid-458.html
    MyEclipse 9.0 M2 – http://myeclipseide.com/module-htmlpages-display-pid-470.html

Please let us know if you need more help.

Let me know quickly what is the issue.

    Ajay,

Can you elaborate more and answer below queries –

    1. What is the OS and version you are on?
    2. Have you verified the file size and md5sum of the installer matches that mentioned in the download site?
    3. Are you behind any firewall / proxy?

I would recommend you an alternative of installing using pulse. Please do the following –

    1. Open Pulse (Start > Pulse > Pulse Explorer or download from http://www.poweredbypulse.com)
    2. Select Eclipse – Galileo realm from top left hand corner dropdown
    3. Expand and click on – Ready to use Profiles > Popular
    4. Select MyEclipse 8.6 from the right hand pane, right click on the same and click on [Install and run]
    5. This will open a wizard which will guide you through the rest of the steps.

Let me know how this works for you

    Hi Swapna,

Please find the response to your questions :
    1. What is the OS and version you are on?
    — Windows XP – SP 2 installed on my Laptop
    2. Have you verified the file size and md5sum of the installer matches that mentioned in the download site?
—- I need to try this out
    3. Are you behind any firewall / proxy?
—- Quick Heal Firewall & Antivirus , but it was disabled before installing

    —————-

alternatively I tried with Pulse and it worked.

But to try out I had given one user email id and it it worked. I wish to replac it with the actual one which is registered with MyEclipse. Can I change the same ?

    Regards.

    ajaym,

You can use different ids for Pulse and MyEclipse. It is not necessary that the ids need to co-exist.

You can do any one of these steps if you want to change :

    1) A registered email id cannot be replaced. You need to register to a new account with a new email id.

    2) You can add a new email id to the existing account using the My Accounts node in the Pulse Explorer. If you are concerned about the user logging into your Pulse profile with his credentials then here are the steps to take care of it :

    a. You have an option to change the password of the registered email from the My Accounts node.
    b. Login with the new email id and the changed password into Pulse.

Example : If your Pulse registered email id is email1 and pwd is pwd1, then you can change the password of email1 to pwd2 and add a new email id email2 in the My Accounts node. You can now login to Pulse using email2 and pwd2 as credentials.

Let us know if you need further help.
