Just to add my voice… I have 5 developers on my team that all run Ubuntu 8.04 or 8.10 and are 64 bit. We are stuck at Eclipse 3.3 and MyEclipse 6.5 right now because of the incompatibility with the new releases. I don’t run a 64 bit OS just so I can install a 32 bit application, so even if the 32 bit installer worked, I wouldn’t use it.

I’ve always wanted to test out NetBeans or IntelliJ as an option… any more pain with MyEclipse and I maybe doing just that.

Interesting side effect I noticed as trying to test out Ganymede… Apparently the MyEclipse Database Explorer installed even though the rest of the toolset for MyEclipse didn’t install…

Has anyone tried any work around to fake the Profiler into think the versions are fine? There are really only two things critical for MyEclipse to make me happy… the Database Explorer and the ability to attach my App Servers to the IDE. if I can get that part working, I can wait for the rest to get fixed.
