Dear Nipun,
Don’t worry, I am not in an hurry, it’s just nice not to be forgotten.
Anyway: line width 80 is veryyyy old fashing, and I can’t believe then more then 20% of the current java developers exactly still use that. (it comes from the the time when people, like me, were still developing with vi, can hardly believe I ever did that 🙁 ). On a 17″ monitor with a resolution of > 1600, a line widh of > 100 is very common nowadays.
Our team uses a line width of 140-150 for xml and java files which works very nice as otherwise a method call is shared over about 2-3 lines, which makes it very unclear.
Maybe nice to do a poll and found out what most people use as line width.
But is this exactly a bug, or …. ??
Regards,
Ed Bras
