The announcement wasn’t clear, but it appears that the 2.7 RC1 for Windows release only works with the eclipse 2.1 release, so if I want to use M4, I’ll have to stay with MyEclipse 2.6.4 🙁 Is this correct? I had almost forgotten that a 2.1 eclipse release even exists, since I’ve been using 3.0 M* for so long.
Actually, if you want to stay with the M builds you’ll have to use 3.6.4, not 2.6.4. We’ll be putting out M6 compatible releases just a few days after it is available on 12/19 since the Eclipse team is “short cycling” the next release it really doesn’t make sense to do M5 at this point. That will let us get all caught up on our 3.0 support again. We’re targeting 12/22 for the update on 3.0.
