    Hi.
I want to upgrade to 3.8.1 plus quickfixes but I don’t want to loose any of my settings (both of Eclipse and MyEclipse). Is that possible? How?
    Thanks.

Your settings are all saved in your workspace, if you leave your workspace intact nothing should change.

TO be extra safe you can export your settings via the Window > Prefs > Export button.

Ok, so to upgrade, can I delete the old MyEclipse and install the new version (using the manual install, not the installer)?
Do I have to do anything special or that’s enough?
    Thanks.

That’s how I do it. Shut down Eclipse, erase the ME dir, install new version, start Eclipse back up.

Additionally you could unzip the new version of Eclipse to a new directory, and load Eclise and Disable the old MyEclipse, restart then add the new MyEclipse via the Extensions method under “Manage Configuration”. And when you are sure that everything is working, you can shut down eclipse, and go erase the old MyEclipse dir and it will be removed from the Eclipse extensions list.
