Hi,

I recently attempted to upgrade to 3.8.4.
I downloaded and extracted Eclipse 3.1 M4.
When I try to install 3.8.4, I get the following error when selecting the current Eclipse directory.

The folder you specified as the Eclipse installation location folder contains the wrong version of Eclipse. This prodect only functions with the Eclipse 3.0.x and later versions that are the full “Eclipse SDK” download.

Interestingly, 3.8.3 installs just fine, with the same version of eclipse.

Dave,
Make sure you are downloading the “MyEclipse 3.8.4 Beta for Eclipse 3.1”.

ALSO, make sure you are using an Eclipse SDK install (not RCP, Platform or JDT).
