    Hello –

I am using MyEclipse5.5GA, would like to install a plugin (TestNG), and have a couple
    of questions:

    1) My principal question is: Where should it be installed ie in the base eclipse plugin
directory, or in the MyEclipse plugin directory?

2 Are there any known or likely negative impacts in installing this plugin?

    Please advise.

This plugin has not been certified to run with MyEclipse. I’m not aware of the negative impacts that you might face.

I would suggest managing all your plugins in a seperate directory, apart from both MyEclipse and base Eclipse plugins. This is easilly done by setting up an extension location into which you drop your plugins, then point Eclipse to it via the ‘Manage Configuration’ function. In this way you isolate your plugins making it easy to add and remove plugins from you installation as well as to troubleshoot issues that may arise from plugin conflict and the like.

    HTHYO.

    Peace.
