Erik MattheisMemberWondering if you might be able to give better definitions of ‘shortly’ as it applies to the release of 7.0.0 M1 for Linux/Mac and ‘soon’ as it applies to the 7.0.0 M1 release notes.
As a long time Mac user of MyEclipse, it’s extremely frustrating to see features released for Windows only, but until this milestone, we’ve always had the same access to releases. Now it seems we’ll be second-class citizens in that regard as well. The cross-platform nature of MyEclipse is one of the primary reasons I choose it for my personal use, and champion it’s use in my professional workplace as well.
As a technical user interested in milestone releases, I’m much more interested in the release notes with bug-fix/enhancement information than the new-and-noteworthy page filled with marketing fluff.
Riyad KallaMemberIronDuck,
That was a logistical decision on our part (you can grab it for Linux and Mac from Pulse, under the Ganymede catalog) to help cute down on vetting each build of M1 that we did, each build we do takes about a week worth of QA and we new M1 might be a bit rocky so we just cut the Windows installer for it.
M2 will include many more of our new features which we’ll probably do an archived update site for, or might keep pushing all platforms over Pulse, that’s really up to management to decide. Naturally the GA release will have the Archived Update Site option as well as the installers and Pulse versions though.
It is no calculated evil thing, we just wanted to cut down on release cycle time for our M1 release since we knew we had a lot more work to do that we wanted to get back to.
Erik MattheisMemberHow about updating the download page to direct Mac/Linux users to Pulse?
Hollis InmanMemberGroovy 1.5.6(latest GA) from pulse in 7.01 is not working.
Works fine, same version, in 6.5 from pulse
Said to be working in eclipse 3.4.
Not sure where to report it.

Are you refereing to MyEclipse 7.0 M1 for Linux ?
I’m probably missing something, on pulse I see MyEclipse 6.5, so when and where is available MyEclipse 7.0 M1 for Linux ? I would say promised short time already passed long time ago …
Loyal WaterMemberYou will have to change the catalog to Ganymede. You will then be able to see 7.0 as an option. Let me know if you have any more queries.
vitorsouzaMemberAt the University I work there is a proxy and I suspect I can’t install Pulse because of it. It says:
An unexpected failure occurred inializing the installer.
com.oaklandsw.http.HttpTimeoutException
So, what should I do to download ME 7 for Linux?
Loyal WaterMemberME 7 milestone for linux is available only on Pulse. You can refer to this thread for a solution:-

Hollis InmanMemberGroovy seems to be OK after a few cycles.
