    Hi,

I use the all-in-one MyEclipse 7.5 on XP SP 3. I used the dropin folder to add a plugin from a ZIP file. Now whenever I add or remove any plugin through “Help – Software Updates – Add/Remove Software” and then look at the installation details right before the actual installation starts, the “dropin plugin” is always listed there as to be removed. However, it never gets removed and works just fine.

This is a minor bug from what I can see. 🙂

    Karsten,

I am not able to reproduce this issue at my end. What is the plugin you have installed via MyEclipse dropins feature? Can you send the download link for the plugin? Also can you copy and paste your installation details here? You can get it from MyEclipse > Installation Summary > Installation Detail and also attach a screenshot of the plugin marked for deletion.

Oops… even if this topic was on top of the forum, I haven’t noticed it and posted mine here https://www.genuitec.com/forums/topic/myeclipse-7-5-dropins-and-planned-list-of-installation/. It looks to be exactly the same problem. The 2 plugins in my case are SysdeoTomcat and older Polarion SVN version which is a must as all my projects are on very old SVN version. Unfortunately I have no idea how to post screenshots.[/img]

I put a screenshot of my installation where I remove the “DataHierarchy” feature. You can see that MyEclipse wants to remove CvsChangeLog and update a Pulse component from 2.0.0 to 2.0.0 (which doesn’t make sense, either).

    Karsten,

I’ve answered this in-depth in this thread down in Item #3. I hope that helps.
