support-joyMemberhudsonc,
Sorry to hear you are running into this issue. Can you please let me know your IP? I want to see if this is a result of blocked IPs. You can find out your IP by clicking on http://www.whatismyip.com. Unfortunately, due to several recent, coordinated attacks on our servers originating in southeast Asia, we have had to block access to large numbers of IP addresses in that region to ensure continued access to our customers worldwide. We apologize for the inconvenience that these actions have caused our legitimate users in the region and we’ll work rapidly to resolve any issues for them.
Also can you quickly go to your myeclipse installation directory and look for pulse2.properties file, you might locate it under \Genuitec\Common\configuration\pulse2.properties and copy and paste pulse.handshake.id here for me? This will help me quickly locate in our server logs for logged errors.
Sorry for the inconvinience.

support-joyMemberThank you. I will have dev team members look into this ASAP. I will revert back to you.
Loyal WaterMemberhudsonc,
We had a system hickup when we rolled out the 7.5 udpate late last night around 1am and broke the Blueprints and that’s why you were seeing the errors — MyEclipse/Pulse were connecting to the server and saying “Ok, what updates do you have for me?” and the server was handing back garbage and then MyEclipse/Pulse were saying “What the heck is this junk… it doesn’t even make sense” and that is the error you were seeing. We fixed it at 6am this morning so now all should be correct and the 7.5.0 updates are going out smoothly. Sorry for the hickup.
ButchAntonMemberUnfortunately, I’m seeing the same problem. I was not able to start my existing profile, so (before I read this thread) I deleted Pulse and tried reinstalling. Now I can’t even install Pulse/MyEcliipse. 🙁
Any help? I’m pretty much dead in the water and need to get some code finished today. 🙁
Thanks!
Loyal WaterMemberHere are the steps to uninstall pulse from your machine:-
1. Run the uninstaller.
2. Make sure the MyEclipse Install Directory has been completely removed
2.1. Pulse Install Directory, on XP it’s under C:\Program Files in \Pulse or \Genuitec, and on Vista it’s under <USER.HOME>\AppData\Local and then under \Pulse or \Genuitec again
3. Then make sure the pulse2.locator file under <USER.HOME> is erased as wellAfter following these steps, try reinstalling. Does it work now?
ButchAntonMemberThank you. Your suggestions worked.
ButchAntonMemberFalse alarm — I cannot start the profile via Pulse. 🙁
support-shaliniMemberButchAnton,
Can you give some more information? Are you behind some firewall or are you using any proxy settings?
Have you installed any 3rd party plugins?
Can you remove all your personal softwares from your profile and try “reinstall and run” option from the context menu?

You mean you are unable to start the profile via pulse explorer ?

That is correct.
Scott AndersonParticipantButch,
Can you try the following and see if it works:
1) Run the Pulse Explorer
2) Expand “Ready to Use Profiles” > “Popular” and select “MyEclipse 7.5”
3) Click the green ‘run’ buttonThis should prompt your for a profile name and you can name it whatever you wish. Then let the install continue. What exactly happens when you do this please?
Scott AndersonParticipantButch,
I just realized I’m addressing this issue in this post on the Pulse forums: http://www.poweredbypulse.com/forums/showthread.php?t=978
In that thread I identified the issue and this should now be fixed. Please post any follow-ups there. -
