Hi,

I can’t add hibernate to an existing Java project, however I can add it to any new project that I create. The existing project has manually written code for database access. What I found interesting is that I can add JPA capabilities to the existing project.

Can anyone help?

Can you clarify if Hibernate capabilities are already added to your project? Right click on you project and go to Properties > MyEclipse and check if Hibernate is enabled. I have attached a screen shot for your reference.
