When I try to start MyEclipse 6.0, I get a Java JVM error as shown in this image:

I’ve been using MyEclipse 6.0 for quite some time with no problems. This morning when I sat down at my machine, MyEclipse said there was an update available for Eclipse, so I clicked the buttons to download and install the update. It threw an exception the first time it tried to install, so I did it again and it seemed to install successfully. It said I needed to restart MyEclipse to finish the installation. When it tried to restart, the message shown in the image above appeared. Have rebooted my machined (WinXP SP2), but to no avail. Anyone have any ideas? The first part of the MyEclipse log file is shown below.

Can you try restarting MyEclipse using the -clean command:-

No that didn’t work. (I should have mentioned that I had already tried that.) It’s like it happens before Eclipse even gets loaded.

I gave up after an hour and simply re-downloaded MyEclipse 6.0.1, re-installed, and now I’m back on track.
