Todd EnersenMemberI’m a long term MyEclipse user and fan. But after the upgrade to 8.6.1, it’s way to slow to use.
I’m on a 2.5 GHz MacBook pro, with 8GB of memory and have given 1GB to the JVM.
Even with this, simple things like modifying the Java compiler settings after switching workspaces takes minutes of “spinning wheels” to get through the dialogs.
Is there anyway of sending the “kill -3” signal to MyEclipse to see what the heck it’s doing?
There also seems to be some dependency on actually being connected to the internet while running myeclipse. Are the plugins all spinning waiting for a connection? If so, this is a huge flaw, as often I want to use the environment on the train, etc, where internet access is limited.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
BTW, I’m the Director of Engineering at BlueKai, where we have 15+ licenses for your product. I’m going to switch us off MyEclipse if the performance continues to degrade.
Todd EnersenMemberI’d love to attach my “force quit” stack dump, but can’t find a way to do this without copy paste (like attachment):
So here it is:

Thanks
Brian FernandesModeratorAdmed,
Could you please let us know exactly what version of MyEclipse you are using and describe where you experience the slow-down in more detail?
