Try to get the latest 9.x release and the 900Mb+ download keeps giving up (usually just before the end)

Is there an alternative download method? A torrent, or an FTP site?

Office connection is through a proxy, and virus checked etc etc and not terribly fast!

I am afraid, currently we do not offer downloads of ME through torrent / FTP. Alternatively, you can download using pulse or use archived update site. Here are the FAQs –
