james_a_woodsMemberHi
This is a very low priority “convenience” feature, which would still be nice. Simply to add a restart option along with the stop and start options for each app server.
Also, if only one app server is enabled, or if it where possible to select a default app server, to place the stop, start and restart buttons on a toolbar, rather than embeded in a menu. This would help a lot in reducing the effort my lazy wrist has to put into moving my big heavy mouse. 😉
Cheers
James
arjan.tijmsMemberYou should read some of the old feature requests. Something like this has been requested for as long as myeclipse exists 🙂
Run configurations would be even nicer I think. It would also be nice if a preconfigured browser would start-up on selecting run for your current web application.
Scott AndersonParticipantTrue, the restart and the toolbar enhancements are “on the books”. You’ll be pleased to know that we’ve recently added a new developer and he’ll be concentrating on small enhancements such as these (although I make no promise about these in particular :-).
It would also be nice if a preconfigured browser would start-up on selecting run for your current web application.
We took a step closer to that. Just click on the Web Browser toolbar button (looks like a globe) to open a browser test window. You can then navigate it to your web application and set a bookmark, or even make it the default page if you like.
arjan.tijmsMemberYes, I noticed the myeclipse webbrowser.
Sadly, it doesn’t work for me since I like to have my web browser and source code full screen on different monitors. The Eclipse architecture doesn’t allow to have editors on different monitors (atleast, I haven’t figured out how). It is possible to split the ‘editor container’, but unlike views, a single editor cannot be dragged into its own window and then placed on its own screen..
Scott AndersonParticipantBut can’t you get an entirely new workbench window with Window > New Window and then just open only the browser in it? Then you should be able to move the entire window to another monitor, if I understand the issue correctly.
