(Almost) All the application servers that MyEclipse provide connectors for require that they are run with a full JDK and not a JRE. If you only have a JRE installed on your computer then you need to click the Add button and configure a new entry that points at a full JDK install for your app server to use. You may even need to download a full JDK in order to install it. You will then need to define the JDK in the eclipse preferences (Window->Preferences->Java->Installed JREs), specifying the root folder of the JDK.

Sometimes application servers will include the JDK that they were tested with (e.g. WebLogic, Websphere) and it is highly encouraged, and in some cases even required, that you use that JDK to run your app server with.
