When “Sending Application to iPhone” a URL is created that shows it’s “valid for 3 days”.
What happens after 3 days? I understand this is for demo and testing purposes. What if I want to create an app for longer than 3 days? What if I want to update it weekly?
Can I assume that in the future you would have a rate card for hosting applications? If so, I would like to know the price range for this.
In other words: considering using MobiOne for developing and deplyoing applications will depend on how much that will cost in the future (release).
We have had an earlier posting (months ago) about the price of the MobiOne designer (which was going to be under $100 if I remember it correct), very reasonable.
In order to commit to the platform long term, it will be important to understand the complete cost picture. Please post more information regarding application hosting if it is available.

The standard edition of AppSync will host your design’s webapp runtime for 72 hours. Thereafter, AppSync garbage collects the webapp.

A premium version of AppSync is planned that will support long term secure hosting of MobiOne apps. The cost of that service has not yet been established but like most of Genuitec’s products high value for low cost is an objective. I have passed your questions to the exec and marketing teams for a more formal reply. I’ll let you know as soon as I know more.

conradvdpMemberThanks for the reply… I look forward to more details…
Are you also planning an AppStore based on the iPhone model or is it just application hosting without an index?
One question regarding this: as I started working with the M9 version and play with the publishing feature, it dawned on me that business users might want to publish to their local server (and maintain access to the databases without cross scripting needs).
Will it be possible to publish to mobi.mydomain.com located on my (client’s) server? If so, what OS will be required? Now thinking about it, that might be an important feature for business users (I mostly write business applications for small/medium businesses and there might be some apprehension hosting the application out of the owner’s control).

wayneModeratorOur near-term vision for AppSync hosting is to support a quick light-weight design and dev process that users can take advantage of up to the point that they need to migrate their project into their enterprise dev and test environment.
As for upload and sync’ing your design runtime and customizations (HTML resources) to a private server (non-AppSync) we are giving that consideration. I don’t have a timeframe on when such a feature feature will be avail but as you indicate there is a need that that will be getting attention soon.
