I am working with MyEclipse and tried to download the Eclipse Beehive Pollinate plugin but this is obviously not there any more !?

[Q] Is Pollinate dead ? I could not find it as project on the Eclipse website either !?

[Q] There is an archived Pollinate 1.0 M3 – would you recommend to use that at all ?

[Q] If no, are there any other preferred means of using Beehive with MyEclipse ?

[Q] Anyway – I want to start developing with a Java web framework but totally confused what to learn !! Should I start with Struts ? Or JSF ?? I think Beehive is great and can integrate both ! But how about Tapestry and Spring then ?? I understand that Spring is actually more than a web framework – it’s a new ‘J2EE paradigm’ with easier bean concepts etc. – I am confused, what should I start learning ???

    Thanks,
    holger

    1. Pollinate Eclipse project is closed, you can dowload archive containing whole project site from Eclipse.org.
    2. I didn’t try Beehive, maybe anyone else will suggest something.
    3. MyEclipse don’t support Beehive at the moment.
    4. I would suggest starting with some tried-and-true framework, say Struts as an example. The positive side of the Struts is the immence amount of documenation available. Once you feel comfortable with Struts it would be easier to switch to other frameworks. Learning Spring is also beneficial.
