you might also want to check http://www.proggyfonts.com , it’s got some serious competition for profont..
Look at http://www.procon.com.au/Fonts.htm. They have a font especially designed for programmers that packs as much info on a page as possible while still having clear and distinct characters. Nothing beats it for clarity.
