ChristianParticipantThere are cases where the syntax highlighting engine produce weird results.
For example, in the first screenshot the @Slf4j annotation is not rendered correctly.
The second screenshot shows broken highlighting when we hover using CTRL.Furthermore, I suspect that some of our “Graphic is Disposed” we’ve been having since 2019-12 is related to this issue. All of them seem to involve the Editor in some way.
Seems easy to reproduce for us (this is only 1 example):
- Eclipse 2012-12
- Install devstyle (use it)
- Lombok
- Create class and use @Slf4j annotation

support-swapnaModeratorChristian,
Sorry that you are seeing these issues. Thank you for the details and the screenshot.
I could not replicate the broken highlighting on hover with Ctrl.
1. Can you please share with us your OS and version details, OS theme if any set, along with the .log file located in the workspace dir/.metadata/.log? (change the extension to .txt and attach it here)
2. Also share with us the screenshot of the Window > Preferences > DevStyle > Color Themes page for further investigation.
Apologies for inconvenience caused.

ChristianParticipantThis is under Ubuntu 19.10. I have used jdk 8 and 11 to run Eclipse with the same result.
I will send you my settings. I did however have the same issue with a fresh install, with no extra plugins, just devstyle. I don’t see this behavior unless devstyle is enabled.

Aaron LaraMemberHello Christian! It would be really helpful if you can describe a little bit more about what do you think is wrong in each case.
1. Regarding @slf4j annotation, what do you expect to see there?
2. Regarding Content Assist in JDialog (when hovering with CTRL). Why do you say it’s broken? It seems to be displaying the right items.
3. Regarding the “Graphic is Disposed” error, please send us your workspace log files.Cheers!

ChristianParticipantHey, sorry for the delay.
After investigation, I believe there’s a problem with Eclipse itself and not DevStyle.
